Abstract

During the voyage from Viet Nam to Lahad Datu, the FO auxiliary aircraft. Treatment (Clarifier) on board the MV. KENYO is having problems. Overload alarm indicators and abnormal bowl conditions appear due to several factors. First, the delay in cleaning the bowl aggravated the situation. Second, the poor quality of LSMFO's bunkers from Viet Nam accelerates the damage of the bowl. This poor fuel quality causes the bowl to get dirty faster than usual. In addition, overload alarms occur due to damage to bearing components in the FO. Treatment. This damage is caused by a combination of a dirty bowl and improper selection of bearing specifications. To prevent similar problems in the future, it is important to carry out regular maintenance on the equipment, choose a fuel of good quality, and ensure the components used are in accordance with the specifications.
