Abstrak

 Technological developments, namely the industrial revolution 4.0, have made changes in the discourse of using traditional systems in digital systems. One application of a digital system is used in the implementation of ship docking at the dock to facilitate ship navigation. This study aims to support the application of digital system technology in ship docking by making a gradual technology prototype. In the initial prototype, we designed a system using the Arduino Mega 2560 tool to find out the position of the ship when it wanted to park the ship, according to the conditions provided by the system. The test is carried out by performing 3 types of methods based on the position of the sensor distance which is grouped. The first method uses two sensors that are installed at the beginning and end of the position less than the size of the ship. the second method uses three sensors which are added in the middle. The third method uses five sensors that are positioned sequentially. From the test results, it was found that the third method gave good results after going through testing the movement of the ship so that it could help determine the position of the ship and prevent the ship from unwanted events for example crashing a ship on a dock.
